3 pounds ripe pears i used my asian pears
Once cored and rotten spots removed they were sliced. Final weight 2 pounds, 11 ounces
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
3 TBSP maple syrup
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 TBSP bourbon
Instructions
Cook on low simmer for about 40 minutes or until desired tenderness, stirring frequently.
About half way through add cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and bourbon. Can serve warm or chilled.
